Participation

In addition to the central abatement measures already implemented and planned, the University will employ a participatory process with the faculties in order to prepare abatement targets and measures based on their actual potential to influence the carbon footprint.

The faculties and centers, Central Administration as well as the intermediate staff association, the Student Body, etc. will all be involved in this participatory approach over the course of the next two years; during this time, they will discuss their specific potential for influencing the carbon footprint of the University of Bern and prepare suitable measures and abatement targets. Initial workshops will be held in the faculties starting in October 2024. Further information will be published here on an ongoing basis.
