Mobility

Business trips (flights, train trips) and commuting are important topics in day-to-day university life since our research is conducted both on a national and international stage. Both staff and students can play their part in reducing this pollution. We have compiled a few ideas below on how sustainability can be taken into account on daily commutes to the University or when traveling to conferences. In addition, the University of Bern has a traffic light system for business trips that determines which European destinations must be traveled to by train and for which destinations the train has priority over air travel.
