Laboratories

Laboratories are essential for some areas of research. Their impact on the environment can be very different, depending on whether it is a wet or dry laboratory, for example. Different materials and equipment are also required depending on the laboratory. All of this has an impact on the possible scope for action and measures to reduce the environmental impact.
Information, best practices and guidelines are continuously published on the following pages.
In order to record the energy and resource requirements of the laboratories and identify opportunities for reduction, a network is being set up with the various laboratories at the University of Bern to exchange ideas and experiences.
